The WV DEP may have thumbed their nose at Doddridge County by ignoring the rescinded flood plain permit and have issued their own approval to EQT to start work on the Huff Farm. Attempts to verify the action and to determine if the WV DEP OOG has granted permission for the same location or have chosen a new location on the 640 acre farm have gone unanswered.
Could this be the reason that EQT did not have their lawyers at the recent commission meeting when the permit ruling took place.? Perhaps they had already resolved the issue themselves with the WV DEP OOG? It is paramount that some answers be forthcoming before the bulldozers arrive!
