Doddridge Commission Granted Extention on Floodplain Appeal

 The circuit court of Doddridge County has granted the Doddridge County Commission an extension of time to make a decision on EQT's request for a drilling permit in a flood plain on land privately owned by Doddridge County resident Joye Huff.

While acting as the Floodplain Appeals Board, the commission now has until Friday, October 5th to submit a written opinion on their decision. The  evidentiary hearing has moved by the court to October 11th.

EQT has ceased construction in the flood plain awaiting the permit to drill. Company spokesman have previoulsy said they have already spent about $300,000 on site work so far.
