This is a distinction held by the Mountain State from the past six years. The odds are 40 to 1 that you will be involved in a deer vs. vehicle collision over the next year. Our close neighbor, Virginia holds the number 10 spot with 103 to 1 odds. National statistics for annual deer collisions in the period ending June 30th of this year are 1.23 million an increase of 7.7 percent over the previous one year period.
If you're trying to cut down on your vehicles deer consumption, the best place is Hawaii where the odds are 6,801 to 1.
