Sen. Joe Manchin is asking that Buckwild be cancelled
One week after a fake report came out claiming West Virginia's junior senator canceled a new MTV show centered in the state, now U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin is asking the show be canceled for real.
The West Virginia Democrat sent out a press release Friday of a letter he wrote to Stephen Friedman, president of MTV. In that letter he asked Friedman to "put a stop to the travesty called 'Buckwild.'"
Controversial Show "Buckwild" to start on MTV January 3rd
MTV has just announced the series that as of Jan. 3, will take over The Jersey Shore timeslot.
The new reality show "Buckwild" centers not on hard-partying roomies at the beach, but on hard-partying young pals in smalltown West Virginia.
Yee-ha. It’s ATVs and mudpits. Check out the trailer.

it seems that after these two local emergency responders visited the

Take Your Multivitamin to Control Diabetes
| (NewsUSA) - For people with diabetes, taking a multivitamin every day can mean much more than a little protection against the common cold. Research is finding that multivitamins can be the first line of defense against many different types of infections, including respiratory infections and influenza. "Once a person with diabetes gets an infection, it's much harder for them to get rid of it, and it can lead to dire consequences, even death," says Registered and Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist Debra Spector. "And since some diabetic patients don't normally respond well to treatment, prevention is key." |

Tanker Accident Scene Investigation Handled "In House"
Attached are pictures from the drilling truck accident that happened on Sunday evening, Dec. 2nd. The accident was initially reported to emergency services indicating that a truck was on its side in the Meathouse Fork Creek. (This was approximately 140 yards from the bridge at the intersection of Meathouse Fork Road and Brushy Fork Road in New Milton, Doddridge County, WV)
The driver was not seriously injured. The truck belonged to a local contracting company called U.S. Well Services. It is assumed to be a contractor for Antero since they are drilling in the area on Brushy Fork Road. The tank truck apparently ran off the road and into the creek when passing by another vehicle on the road.

Tanker Truck Carrying Drilling Fluids Ends Up In Creek in New Milton
Early Sunday evening a tanker truck was involved in a one vehicle accident near the intersection of Meathouse Fork Road and Brushy Fork road in the New Milton section of Doddridge County. Local emergency responders and members of the Doddridge County Office of Emergency Services were first on scene and provided first aid to the driver of the truck who had lost control of his vehicle. He was taken to United Hospital Center with minor injuries.
The truck appeared to have released diesel fuel and not the contents of the tanker which reportedly was a brine mixture based on Calcium Chloride. This substance is heavily used locally for road construction and maintenance, including dust control and base stabilization by drillers active in Marcellus Gas site building. According to the WV State Police on scene, none of the "brine tankers" contents were spilled. Local emergency crews were replaced when crews from Ryan Environmental arrived on the scene and took over the cleanup of any possible leaks or spills from the accident.
The Middle Island Creek is the water intake for the Town of West Union. As a precaution, no additional water will be pulled from the creek until the incident it cleared as being non-polluting. The Town has sufficient water in their storage tanks and they expect no interruptions for residents. .
